...Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, the president announced that he would be officially declaring an emergency on the border, along with signing a woefully inadequate spending bill that provides about 1.4 billion for the wall. This will be challenged in court, as the president noted, but it needed to be done anyway, to help secure some wall funding, especially since he received anemic support from the timid Republicans in the first two years of his term.
